Wine Journal, Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
"...And I must give special credit to the 1989 Corison.  Cathy Corison's production is small, bt her 1989 is surely the single most beautiful expression yet of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.  It is a study in what can be acheived when everything is right, even in a vintage not considered one of California's most generally successful..."    ~ Gerald Asher

*****   The 1989 vintage is significantly smoother, full of plum, berry, and cherry on the palate.  To say that it is seductive, unctuous and velvety is to miscalculate its future potential... an epiphany to outstanding winemaking, equal of any from Bordeaux.  95 points

California GRAPEVINE October-November 1992
Medium-dark ruby color; attractive, rich, herbal, slightly briary, ripe Cabernet fruit aroma which developed with airing in the glass; medium-full body; rich, textured, somewhat supple, ripe black cherry fruit flavors; well balanced; medium-full tannin; lingering aftertaste.  Superior quality... Very highly recommended.  (Group Score 16.2 of 20 points... My Score 17 (90 of 100 points), second place)
