1991 Corison Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml
Cathy's Tasting Notes Upon Release:
In 1991 the Napa Valley was blessed with a second great vintage in a row. The weather during the ripening season was so cool that the grapes were harvested a full month later than usual. This extended time on the vine allowed the development of extraordinary complexity. The wine shows great concentration and intensity yet has a soft, supple structure which is characteristic of all my wines. A perfume of violets is layered on top of cherry, plum and blueberry fruit. Hints of anise and chocolate join spicy oak notes to add further interest.

Cathy's Notes from 25 Vintage Retrospective Tasting, October 2014:
Nearing the end of its life in 750 still youthful in magnum. Brick colored. All bottle bouquet with dried roses and cedar cigar box. Cola. Cherry liqueur. More lively on the palate with dried figs, cherries and cocoa. Drink.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine
Impeccable winemaking is partnered here with a somewhat mild, finely focused wine smelling of ripe cherries and rich oak and tasting of fairly open cherryish and vaguely curranty fruit... Supple on the palate with only a hint of soft-grained tannins...
